Meet The Feeding Trust Team

We are a therapy-led team supported by a board of trustees who bring a diverse range of skills and expertise, all working towards our mission statement.

We have a well-rounded team of occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and dietitians who offer full assessments and treatments, all in one place, for children who have significant feeding differences.

Our Trustees

Dr Melissa Bujtor
Board member

Dr Bujtor, (Dr Mel to her mini-patients) the founder of Lifespan Nutrition is an experienced, university-qualified, registered nutritionist (RNutr), specialising in paediatric nutrition, from birth through to 18 years. She is also a paediatric feeding specialist with expertise in paediatric feeding disorders, and eating disorders. As a peer-reviewed, published scientist, Dr Bujtor takes an evidence-based approach to dietary practices, with quality scientific evidence always underpinning her clinical and therapeutic practice.

She holds a PhD jointly undertaken at King’s College London and Deakin University in Australia. Her doctoral research explored the associations between combined modifiable lifestyle behaviours—such as dietary intake—and mental health and wellbeing in children and adolescents.

In addition, she holds a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition, a Master’s degree in Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Finance. She is currently finalising a Master’s degree in Dietetics, at King’s College London.

As a scientific researcher, Dr Bujtor spent time at the prestigious Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London—ranked second globally for psychology and psychiatry—where she worked on projects examining the links between diet and mental health. She is a published researcher and remains active in the scientific community.

Her research interests centre on paediatric feeding and eating disorders, with a particular focus on the relationship between early feeding difficulties, neurodevelopment, and long-term outcomes. She is especially interested in how disrupted feeding milestones—such as delayed transitions to solids, food refusal, and sensory-based aversions—may serve as early signs of neurodivergence and contribute to later challenges in nutrition, mental health, and eating behaviour.

Before transitioning to science and clinical nutrition, Dr Bujtor spent 13 years working in corporate finance, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, structured and private financing, and special situations. Her diverse background, spanning Europe (UK), Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, China), and Australia, equips her with a distinctive global perspective. She brings a rare ability to bridge the worlds of industry and science, generating value, offering novel insights, and delivering meaningful impact.

Helen Grindulis
Board member

Helen has over 30 years experience working as a consultant paediatrician in multi-disciplinary teams with children with disabilities, including leading up a specialist paediatric feeding team at Sandwell General Hospital .

She has also worked in clinical management within the NHS and has a wealth of knowledge regarding governance, professional standards and competencies. Helen is acutely aware how difficult and complicated feeding problems can be for a child and family. She retired in 2018 and hopes that she can use her knowledge and experience to help guide the work of the Feeding Trust. This includes providing in-depth staff appraisals.

Hannah Daw
Board member

Hannah is Mother to Lucas, a little boy who had eating issues early on in life and was fully tube fed up until the age of 3. Hannah approached The Feeding Trust, and worked with Lucy and Karen to build Lucas’ confidence with food and successfully tube weaned him in 2018.

During this time, she began @thelucasladder on Instagram to share her experiences, document Lucas’ tube wean and connect with others who also faced feeding challenges. Hannah now spends her time running around after a cheeky little boy who eats anything and everything in large quantities, a dream she never thought would be realised! She is still active with her Instagram account, sharing ideas on encouraging oral skill building and showing their journey from tube fed to food fed. She is also a strong advocate of the SOS approach, which gave her back her family life.
